25 Savile Row has won the RIBA London Award…

We are delighted that Savile Row has won the RIBA London Award 2018. Mondrian^® glazing systems, installed by IQ Projects, were a vital element of the renovation of this commercial premises in the exclusive Mayfair district in London. IQ Projects worked closely with architects Piercy & Co to create impressive architectural glazing using the Mondrian^® system. As well as our steel systems the specialist elements of glazing included in this project were contemporary disappearing facades of minimal windows and bespoke architectural metalwork. Our thermally broken steel systems and welded internal steel doors were used extensively in the build.

The Steel Art Deco style Mondrian^® Glazing systems were widely used within this expensive renovation project, providing a nod to the original design of the building and hit the current trend square on with steel and glass in thin section work. The steel framing offers a timelessly elegant and sophisticated window and door system due to the delicate aesthetic of the thin vertical and horizontal steel framing. When used as an external system (exposed to the environment), the steel slowly ages and darkens with time resulting in a gorgeous traditional industrial finish, while still preserving performance levels.

These systems have been, and still are the preferred choice for architects due to their graceful aesthetic and design qualities. The ultra slim Mondrian^® glazing systems offer the same thin framing you would expect from a traditional steel window but with modern high specification thermal performance. Thin steel frames mean you can fit more glass into your window opening, bringing more light into the space.

Both us and IQ Projects are overjoyed that 25 Savile Row has won this prestigious award, the degree of collaboration and the finished aesthetic pays homage to the geographical history and grandeur.
